The City of Henderson, the Southern Nevada Regional Trails Partnership and the River Mountains Trail (RMLT) Partnership will be celebrating this year's National Trails Day event at the Henderson Events Plaza in the Water Street District, Nevada, Saturday, October 18th, 2008 from 9:00AM-2:00PM. This free event will focus on trail awareness for all outdoor enthusiasts. At National Trails Day, you'll find Henderson Trails Discover Tours (by bus) and of course FREE! Information booths on area trails to become better acquainted with the amazing Henderson Trails. Youth activties and a CLIMBING WALL! A photo contest and Exhibit of the best of the best photos and of course you'll be able to check out the latest River Mountains Trail Map of areas open for use Of course we'll also have a great group of exhibitors on hand to share their knowledge about the outdoor opportunities coming to Southern Nevada including the Public Lands Institute, REI, Henderson Trails Department and the American Hiking Society to name just a few. The River Mountains Loop Trail Partnership is an association of public agencies, community groups, businesses, and individuals committed to cooperatively planning, developing and maintaining the River Mountains Loop Trail. The Southern Nevada Regional Trail Partnership, (SNRTP) is a collaborative group of local, state and federal agencies, organizations, and individuals working together to plan, develop and maintain recreational trails in Southern Nevada, enhancing identification of individual user group requirements. www.snrtp.org.
